DAVID WACHTEL, PARTNER
Mr. Wachtel received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington University in St. Louis in 1984. He earned a J.D. degree with honors at the University of Texas School of Law in 1989. He served as a Notes Editor of the Texas Law Review in 1988-89.
David Wachtel has represented employees in discrimination cases since 1993. In December 2004 and 2007, the Washingtonian magazine named him one of the best civil rights attorneys in Washington, D.C. He has tried cases in U.S. District Courts for Maryland and the District of Columbia and in Superior Court for District of Columbia. He has argued appeals to the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and the District of Columbia Court of Appeals.
Mr. Wachtel has been a member of the California Bar since 1990, the District of Columbia Bar since 1991, and the Maryland Bar since 1997. He is presently inactive in the California Bar.
Mr. Wachtel serves on the editorial advisory boards of Representing ADA Plaintiffs (James Publishing) and You and the Law (National Institute for Business Management) a monthly newsletter for human resources professionals.
Mr. Wachtel has practiced law with Lynne Bernabei since July 2005.
