Column in The National Law Journal

The National Law Journal, on March 16, 2009, published a column by Lynne Bernabei and Alan Kabat, “Protect whistleblowers.” This column explained how the current economic crisis motivated Congress to propose and enact significant new legal protections for whistleblowers, particularly those in the financial industries and those who work for the government and government contractors. These new legal protections are intended to provide greater rights to whistleblowers, including the ability to bypass the government agencies that have failed to protect whistleblowers by allowing whistleblowers the right to go directly to federal court.
